Laura blogged movie quotes :) I have some favs :-) And I KNOW I won't remember all of them, so heres a few off the top of my head :-)
American Pie: - Michelle says: "This one time, at band camp.."
Return of the Jedi:
Han Solo: I love you.
Princess Leia Organa: I know.
Toy Story: - Buzz: To infinity, and beyond!!!!!!
Armageddon: - The animal crackers scene :-)
Oh, Eric might like me more if I visited this site :-) Vegetarian recipe .com | Recipes I'll have to come back here!
can you tell I'm hungry today with all the food thoughts? LOL!
I was going through Blogger's list of fresh blogs, and found Periwinkle Haze. I liked the name so I clicked and when I saw the author, I thought - that's bizarre, I've heard that name!!! So I browsed through her stuff, and remembered - It's so much friendlier with two - Award winners: I've won two of Cheryl's awards for the wedding page LOL! :-) That's why she sounded so familiar!!
What a beautiful ballerina :-) MARIPOSA In her captures, there's a gorgeous glass slipper picture that I love too...
I really like how the color changes at Power Bloggers when I get into it :-) Its lots of fun to wonder "What color will I get next?" :-) Yes, I'm very silly :-) But I find some of the most interesting things to read here sometimes, so I have to visit :-) Besides, Andre's always been nice to me!
This is a bizarre recipe that came through on one of my mailing lists weddingcrafts:
Velveeta Cheese Fudge.
1 lb. Oleo or Butter
1 lb. Velveeta Cheese
4 lbs. Sugar
1 cup Cocoa
1 tbsp Vanilla
Chopped nuts.
In a saucepan, melt the oleo and the cheese.
Sift together the sugar and the cocoa.
Add the cheese and oleo mixture and add the vanilla and nuts.
Mix well, and spread evenly into a greased 9x13 inch pan.
Cool and cut in pieces. Makes about 6 1/2 pounds of creamy, inexpensive fudge.
Do I dare try this? Maybe real fudge would be better LOL!
Nikolas on General Hospital just declared that he was a hopeless romantic on yesterdays show :-> Hmmm, so am I :-)

I'm so happy that I have Eric on his way home to me :-) I wonder what we'll have for dinner........ I suppose I could make something <.g>
He looks so cute today - he has a new hagger Ultimate Shirt that we got at the outlet on our honeymoon - its navy and beautiful :-) I like the shirt I'm wearing, too - its red and the ends point down.... with little flowers embroidered on the bottom and the neck ties at the top. I can wear more dramatic makeup with this shirt because its such a nice red. The shirt and the nicer eyeliner make me feel more confident, and that's how I was feeling this morning because of an email I got this morning. I'll clue you in if it works out :)
I always love doing Crosswords. I like the crosswords online that lets you fill in the squares ;-) I also like the ones in the paper, but that means I actually have to pick the paper up, find the crossword and then leave it littered across the room when I'm bored with it LOL! Anybody have a link to a better crossword site? email me!
BURGER KING Presents The Backstreet Boys - This kind of bothers me. Normally, I like silly campaigns with cute guys, but on the heels of McDonald's NSync and Britney Spears promotion, its pretty copycatish. Very odd!
I watched Here on Earth last night with Eric. It was a really good movie. Really good, but I cried.
It had Chris Klein from American Pie, Josh Hartnett from The Faculty and Leelee Sobieski from Deep Impact. The actor who played Sam's (Leelee) dad made me think for a few minutes about what I remembered him from - and then I was like oh yeah, Double Jeopardy - he was the husband :-) I always have to have one main movie that I remember someone from, unless they are totally famous :-) I'm a geek!
I have gotten a lot of things done for my site today - I went through the wedblog queue and cleaned a few things up. I took this site off of it because it really isn't discussing wedding stuff - but there is still a link to join it if you have a wedding journal :-) Its so much fun to see the progress of the different brides :-)
GeekGrrl Dot Log [boredom attack #7] - another geeky girl blogging :-) now that I found one, I find another :-) I like this, finding new blogs. Are you reading me but don't think I'm reading you? drop me a line, I'd love to see your blog :-)
Merediment could be a very fun journal to read. She's in college and looks like she writes a lot of fun things. She has some of the same Jelly Belly favs as me :-)
HR Takes a Turn in the Sun - very interesting article to me as an HR professional - I totally agree with "In today's economy, companies are struggling to find and keep good employees with the right skills. Recruitment is difficult and time consuming, and losing a current employee costs one and one half of that person's annual salary" Sometimes, I wish I could spend more of my time on the HR end of my job. If I wasn't wearing 30 hats at work, I'd be able to do one thing best instead of 29 of them half-cocked. Maybe I'll get better at the other 29 things :->
My friend :-) Carol blogs about happy meal toys <.giggle.> It doesn't help that McDonalds is only like 1000 feet from my office. And sometimes, happy meals really are a fun way to make you happy - have you ever tried that theory? It also doesn't help that one of my usual lunch partners is 11 years old :-> I have so many Happy Meal toys :-) My desk at work is littered with teeny beeny babies - the file cabinent has the latest toy story candy dispenser toys, and before my book shelves moved to the living room, I had a whole shelf of little toys like this on it :-) Sometimes, its just nice to have something fun to watch for and buy cheaply :->

Laura and Kayley got new shoes!! I want new shoes - I love payless :-) Its been a few weeks since I've been there, and I usually try to watch for new things :-) I tend to wear sandles until its just too cold to wear them anymore. So I know I need some colder weather shoes :-> I'd really like some black shiney doc marten's, actually.
Maybe I should get something like these - they still don't look as comfy as the ones I had a few years ago that are similar..... I wish payless kept some of their styles on year after year.... like the sandles that I bought 4 years ago in two colors because I loved them - they are falling apart now!

As for the Dr. Martens, I want black shiney ones...Black shiney low ones with the yellow stickes around the bottom.... kinda like this, but maybe with the more traditional laces instead of these black ones:

Hmm, maybe I'll have to treat myself to these - they aren't THAT much, and I've wanted them for a long time. I can just see myself in my comfiest jeans, black docs, a cute tight white shirt and a happy soft black sweater. Or the jeans, docs, and a really nice black shirt. Maybe even with khakis and a black sweater :-) See, look at all those outfits!!

I feel like a geek inside. A silly artistic geek. That's probably why I like blogs like this one: :: geekish.com / weblog ::. Its got a cool design, and I just love all the geek-like comment in the header :-) I wish I was more geeky, though... I don't know half as much coding as I want to, and I'm not in a fun geeky job like so many of the girl-geeks out there.... but I love the thought of it :-) So I'm going to keep looking for good geeky girls to blog about because I'm envious and stuff :-> Yes, I'm a freak, too <.g>
zal pointed me towards a site that is really nicely done. (Here's the blog of the site: Goatee Style - log) I'm super impressed by this design (I've always wanted to use this main font for something!) and the colors are really appealing :-) I haven't check out the whole site yet, but I did look at the famouse goatees <.giggle> This guy is hilarious!
I am so silly. I decided to stay and talk to Rina for a while last night after work, and then started scanning wedding pictures. Do you *know* how addictive that is? I keep finding "just one more" and then have to scan it in! And then, I'm addicted to touching them up, too - making the color more balanced, sharpening and smoothing, and resizing! So, by the time I realized I had stayed late, it was like 6:30. So then I decided to wait until Eric came home from work cuz I knew he'd come get me and I wouldn't have to walk <.silly giggle.> Yup, he came about 7 and then took me to dinner - what a sweety he is! We had chinese and got to chat - it was really cool :-) So anyhow, yesterday was a LONG day!! Lets home I am not possessed tonight, too <.giggle.>

NYSE Set to Test Trading in Decimals - if you watch stocks at all, this is an interesting change. I've always tried to do the conversions in my head, but its not super-easy sometimes to figure out the 8ths and 16ths on the fly :-> Decimals is much more intuitive for most, and this transition seems to make sense. This is another interesting take on the change - I'd think its a lesson on how people can manipulate ANYTHING for their better <.g>
fascinations has a beautiful color scheme. I love the purple background, and the accent colors of pink and several blues look very nice together. I think that as this blog grows, I could totally enjoy reading it :-)
via Al-Noor (note to self: add Kellea back into my dailies!), I found Wise-Women. This looks like such a cool site. I love things that are informative, slightly geeky, and totally fitting to me :-) I can't wait to become active in the mailing list that I signed up for from over there - I figure I'll lurk for a little while before I start being too talkative because otherwise, I might be too .... what's the word I'm looking for?.... myself? I am afraid I'm not smart enough for this group... but we'll see :-)
:.:.:amnesia & deja vu - forget it all over again:.:.: has a beautiful redesign :-) I like the fact that it was inspired by sheets :-) Things like that inspire me, too :-) I also really like the scrollbar and have been trying to learn how to do that myself forever! Guess I'll have to write and ask if she'll share her enlightenedness with me :-)
Summer's sizzle heats TV's fall lineup - "NBC, for example, should see a big boost once the promo-friendly Summer Olympics gets underway. " Yes, I was thinking this, too - this article supported my thinking. Awareness levels of NBC shows will go waaaay up if they get the whole Olympics to broadcost their ads. But then again, I am looking forward to at least one new NBC show - Titans - because its going to have some great actors on it. And I'm also looking forward to old NBC shows like Friends :-) And WB shows, of course!!! :-)
Columbia Adventist Academy - my sisters start school today (I'm a CAA alumni, 1994 :-) ). This is Megan's senior year, and Lisa's freshman year, so there is a lot of excited nervousness between the two of them :-) Lisa's already starting to fit in in the pre-school activites that she's attended, and Megan's very excited to hold the office as Reunion Secretary for her class and doing tons of work (which proves to me that she should have been the president!). I am kind of jealous, though. My sisters get the opportunity to see each other all of the time - I never got to go to school with my siblings, and I would have loved that so much! Lucky for me, though, they are both excited about involving me in projects and are inviting me to everything that I can come to :-) I'm excited :-) My mom dropped off a copy of the curriculum map, and its really cool to see what they'll be learning :-) I remember quite a bit of this stuff, and hope that I can help them if they need me. I know I'll be making trips out there for Volleyball and Basketball games - they had tryouts all this last week for v-ball. Megan has played for 3 years and is really good, and Lisa's just learning, but enthusiastic, and I think she'll make the JV team :-) Can you tell that I'm super proud of my girls? :-) They are my best friends and I am so happy to have had this summer with them :-)
Oh yes, Gina, I remember the rodent story! I'm so glad that you are getting your camper back and that the rodents have left :-> It wouldn't be much fun camping if they hadn't LOL! :-)
Its Monday. Lets hope that this Monday was better than last Monday! At least I feel more organized at work. But no more secretary for me for TWO weeks. My sister has been my secretary for the summer. And the plan was, while I was on my honeymoon, my sister was supposed to be screening applicants for me so I would interview all this last week. But at the last second, my favorite wonderful secretary agreed to come back :-) So I have two weeks without a secretary, and that will be hard, but at least I know that I have wonderful things to look forward to :-) Annette is not only a good friend, but she is an excellent employee. She has a great capacity for remembering customers and items and that's super important in this job. And we work really well together. My hope is that this will make my job less stressful again :)
BUT, today my mom has an appointment. And she's supposed to be filling in part time for the secretary job, and now I don't know if she's coming in <.sigh> Could make for a stressful day, if I don't start out with perfect attitude. Hmmm, I don't seem like my attitude is perfect, but I'll keep you posted :-)

Yea! I made it through Eric's company picnic. People were full of congratuations because they all knew Eric was gone for a week for our honeymoon ;) There were some nice people, and I can tell that Eric is lucky to be part of such a cool environment :-) Yea for Qsent! :->

Does anybody else want to go to Eric's company picnic for me? I'm scared! I get all nervous around a huge new crowd of people. I'm sure they are nice and all, but its still scary! My tummy gets these knots in it and I feel silly being there, even though I know I'm invited because most of the people know each other and I won't know any one!
anyhow, I'll be back later - if I don't die of stress LOL!
Have all of you heard about radio.sonicnet? Its got a music player in the page which you can customize to play the types of music that you like - that's your station. Or you can listen to favorite stations that other people have put together like songs from vma (video music awards) or Moby Radio or BBMak radio or whatever - its reallly fun! If you want to listen to Rina's or my station, check out the melodys on the sidebar :-)
Did I ever mention that I like high school movies? I am seeing stuff this weekend about 'Bring It On', and it could be lots of fun! Its got Kirsten Dunst on it, and also Eliza Dushku (Faith from Buffy). This doesn't have as many names or fun things in it as some of my favs - 10 things I hate about you and and Drive me Crazy or Cruel Intentions or She's All That, but it still could be good :) Just thought I'd share!!
I feel special - I got some Linkylove from Jennifer! Thanks for the welcome back!!! Wedding pictures are being scanned in as quickly as I can do them (and thank you notes at the same time LOL!) so I can share soon :-)

Wow, lots and lots of Krissy-blogs! LOL We're missed you, dearie. : )
A few posts down you mentioned you had a couch in the living room. What a coincidence - so do I! LOL For those kinda confused, she meant her kitchen. She a couch along the wall by the table. It's kinda cool actually - has a dark green sheet covering the back and a green/white checked for the seat. <.g>
Anyways, it's that time of year again - school! I'm a sophomore at University of IL at Urbana/Champaign. I like all of my classes (Phonetics, Linguistics, Astronomy, Psych, and Poli Sci. E-mail me if you like these subjects, too!), and my Psych teacher is to die for! LOL Poor Krissy (and maybe you guys) will be hearing about how cool and cute and fun and sexy he is ALL semester long. <.giggle> Gotta love the internet - I could name the guy, show off his website, give his radio.sonicnet addy and he still wouldn't have a clue of who I was. Anonymity can be so fun sometimes. <.g>
I'm gearing up for the X-Files premiere, and reading tons of spoilers and interviews and articles. I'm sad about David not being there most of the season, but Scully having his baby is good, and I think I'll like Agent Doggett. We'll see, I guess, but I'm kinda getting more optismistic now!
Gilliangels is still chugging along. Slowly, but surely. : ) I e-mailed some major fan sites (GAWS and the Haven) to see if they would support us by linking to our site, but that was over a month ago and I never got a response from either place. : ( Oh, well. We're doing good on our own! Next Friday we're starting our third project - we'll be collecting poptabs for Ronald McDonald Houses for a full year, 9/1/00 until 9/1/01. If you want to participate, join us!
I think that's more than enough talking now. Ta!
This is new news to me - c|net and ZDNet are combining? CNET Networks, Inc. Sets Date for Special Meeting of Shareholders to Approve Its Acquisition of Ziff-Davis, In. These are both resources that I've used on many occassions, and combining them seems to make sense. I'll be watching for more about this.
BTW, this is the first time I'm using newsblogger and I'm really excited about it!!
I was very excited to watch the Girls Gymnastics Olympic team picked the other night. That's my favorite events of the Olympics, and I carefully followed the team last time around. 2 of the girls from last time were picked again - Amy Chow, who I don't remember much, and Dominque Dawes. I feel bad for Vanessa Atler, who I totally loved, and I felt the same way about Dominque Mocianeu. I really enjoyed watching the trials - Jamie Dantzscher really interested me, and I look forward to seeing how Alyssa Beckerman does, and if she can get her concentration focused for the games. :-)

Okay, so I changed my name on here, and it changed it for every entry on the blog - it looks funny to look back at old posts and see Kristine Beeson because that wasn't my name then <.giggle.> Technically, my name isn't legally changed yet, but I'm working on it. No one could take me down to the office to change it this week. I will be Kristine Diane Locatis Beeson soon, though (I'm taking my last name as my 2nd middle name so I can use it when needed - since I work for my family business, keeping my name for some things is definately important - so I've been signing Kristine Locatis Beeson on business things :-) )
April, my thoughts are prayers are going out for you.... may arms of love be around you as you go thru this process.
Anna, I just wanted to let you know that I really like the new design on your blog - its beautimus, just like the rest of your site :-) {{hugs!}}
Christie is doing something that I always wanted to do: "I am learning to bead. It is so exciting for me! For years I have wanted to learn to make my own jewelry. Mostly earrings....but I've also had lots of ideas for bracelets and necklaces." That sounds SO awesome! I did my first try on a jewelry type of thing during my wedding plans - I attached small pearl beads to bobby pins with wire and they turned out really cool. Christie, I'd love to see more stuff you do in the future!! :-)
What a happy thing for Kristin - Home ownership!!! Someday, I want to own a home. I think by the time we get to own one, I'll want a 4 bedroom (or 3 bedroom/office), 2 1/2 bath, beautiful view, HUGE kitchen, and maybe space for a hot tub :-) I would absolutely love to design it myself, but I don't see that happening right now unless we win the lottery :> For now, we are jammed in a two bedroom apartment, with all of our computers in the living room, and a couch in the living room for lack of space anywhere else! I think that the plan is to move to a bigger apartment sometime not too far out (by our 1st anniversary?). There are nice ones not too far from here that are 3 bedroom and we could use one bedroom for our office :-) But maybe it would be better to live in our dinky apartment a little longer and save money for a house. I'll be researching, and I'm sure you'll all be hearing about it LOL!
from Gina's page, I found a list of her favorites, and I thought I'd fill it in too!
Color: Lavender and purple
Flower: Rose
Smell: Vanilla
TV Show: Friends and Buffy
Movie(s): so many! Armageddon, Air Force One, Toy Story 2, Ever After....
Music: Top 40s, Christian
Breakfast Food: handful of cereal on my way out the door
Dinner: home made macaroni and cheese
Meat: Chicken
Vegetables: Costco's frozen sweet corn
Snack Food: Chocolate :-)
Dessert: Lucerne's Swiss Chocolate Cherry ice cream
Beverage (alcoholic): Pina Colada
Beverage (non-alcoholic): Cherry Coke
Morning Beverage: Cherry Coke :-)
That was fun - thanks for letting me play with your list, Gina :-)
I'm doing a jaunt through my dailies list this morning so I can update the list (take out ones that aren't active, review friends blogs for new links, etc), and I'd love to know if anyone out there is linking to me that I don't know about yet :-> Feel free to drop me a line!
Hello my friends :-)
I am back from my hiatus! My wedding is over, and happiness ensues in my house :) I don't have pictures or my recap up, but I'm working on it. So I plan to be able to start blogging here on a regular basis about things that aren't wedding related <.giggle.>
I was browsing the Blogger page and finding out new features that I can't wait to try out :-)
And I know that my webpage needs an update - that's in the plans too :-)
Thanks for putting up with my absence, and I hope to be back in full-force soon! Blowing kisses ~*~~~~~~~~~~~~

Look - we're not blogging from opposite sides of the country anymore! LOL I'm spending the week with Kristine to help with the end of the wedding details, and having a grand old time. *g* (Let's all send happy thankful thoughts towards United Airlines who didn't cancel my flight!)
Also, happy 32nd birthday to Gillian Anderson. LOL
Just thought I'd let any of you who still happen to be reading know that its only 4 days till my wedding! I'm SO excited! When I get back, I promise to tell you all about it, and get on a regular blogging schedule again :-) Hugs!!!
