I really like this water spot screensaver. It makes my desktop blur just like it had water spots on it. I've been known to capture vivid combinations that the screensaver made and use them in graphic creations :-)

ROTFL! This made me laugh - straight from the email of my cute fiancee - BBspot - Microsoft Purchases Evil From Satan

Being knowledgable about your body and your risks is important. This test could help you: MSNBC Body Mass Calculator Beware - there are other factors that can change the results, but this could be helpful.

I have had things I have thought of to blog lately, and not the time to blog. They range from thoughts on ebay auctions to comments on my messy house (which is atrocious) and I've seen things on my friend's blogs that I wanted to chat about..... <.sigh.> But I will share - I am happier than I have ever been. I'm planning my wedding. I have a wonderful fiancee who loves me. I have a brand new computer. I'm very happy :-) My time is getting more and more scarce, friends - please don't hate me or stop popping in - I'll return in full force as soon as I can. In the mean time, do any of you want to come and help me make a veil, wrap 100 bubbles in tulle, design candy bar wrappers and a program, and find me a frickin photographer that won't screw me around for a week before saying they can't do it!!!! Or do some housework, I'm not picky, I'd put you to work wherever I can <.giggle.> Blowing kisses! ~~~~~*

What makes you tick? says that "We can’t escape clocks because — are you ready for this? — we all are a clock." Well, that makes for more stress, doesn't it LOL! I like clocks... unlesss they are stressing me out <.g>

I saw this link somewhere today (98 Degrees: Official Site) and I checked them out because I think the one lead singer is very cute <.g.> Yes, I listen to teenage music. I like Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears and NSync (harder to admit LOL!). Yes, I'm a silly MTV-generation chick :-)

This is cool info - Happy Fathers Day to all of the wonderful fathers out there!! Father's Day History via SpinningJenny :-)

Victoria's Secret is having its semi annual sale :-) A few cheap bras and cheaper than normal lotion is EXACTLY what I needed :-)

I love the noise when email comes in. It makes me jump up from whatever page I'm on or whatever I'm doing at my desk, and I smile, even before I see what it is :-) So if you ever want to make me smile, send me an email :-) But on a not as fun note, this giant knot in my back just won't go away. It hurts to breath, or even to move <.sigh.>

Thanks, Carol - My Glam Name is Typhoon Fairypowder <.giggle.>

I don't want to be sick <.whine.> I'd rather be well, getting things done, but instead I'll all tired and achey and have a scratchy throat. I have SO much to do, too - I must work on wedding stuff this weekend, and clean the house and read some blogs :-) Yeah, read blogs, sounds like fun :)

Thursday, June 15, 2000

I am ashamed by my lack of blogging. I looked at this page today and felt so bad that I hadn't gotten to say more fun things lately. But so much of my energy is focused on one thing right now (<.giggle.> if you don't know, check out my other journal. And if you don't know, you must not have been here very many times LOL!) I'm also working on a new website for a group Rina and I are re-starting. I have some amazing graphic ideas for it, and am trying to implement them :-) So to my faithful readers - please don't leave! I'll be back in full force soon :-) Hopefully <.giggle.> Blowing kisses at you all :-)

I really like this story at Joyride. Go read! And smile and wave at Garrett!! :-) Hi cutie!!! :-)

I really like the redesign that Gina did over at Recycled Thoughts.... Its got a really nice smoochie quality about it :->

There is a baby born in the U.S. every eight seconds. Wow, thats an amazing statistic! There are a lot of good hints for people considering children in this report. Not that I'm looking at it yet or anything! :)

PEOPLE.com | Freddie Prinze Jr is a babe. And now I saw him and Sarah Michelle Gellar on the MTV movie awards - so cute together :-)

I found this link in my referrals. I'm so amazed to be included among the amazing designers here. Some of these people I have admired for years, and now I'm listed with them? wow! :-)

Happy Anniversary yesterday to Amy Lyn of Thought Bubbles I really love her nice purple design - its totally pretty :-) And the name is neato too! :-)

LOL, this made me laugh - over at Visions of Life, Debbie says:
Gosh, you know you have it bad when you open Front Page to create your grocery, and to do list in nicely formatted tables
The funny thing is, I did my to do list in HTML because I knew that I'd be able to use it best between my 3 computers if it was up on the web LOL!

Hugs to Gina. Boy, that is NO fun to have your trailer ruined by water and mice <.pout.> When I was little, I remember that after we moved to Washington and put our trailer in the garage, we found swarms of mice in it when we pulled it out. My special beach towel that my aunt made me got all chewed up (I'm sure that was among everything else, but as an 11 year old, that's what I remember). Those darn mice . . . there were so many of them that mom paid Leonard (my brother) 5cents for every one he could catch in mousetraps, and Leonard made many dollars. Yucky!

Krissy's monitor looks just like mine, but her keyboard and tower are ultra cuter. <.giggle> OKay, so hey, now to the real reason I'm a-bloggin' today! I figure lots of you guys come to read Kristine's blogs, and I'm taking advantage of that. <.g> With web-design and moral support from Kristine, I've started a new group on eGroups called GilliAngels. This group will do charity/community service projects in honor of Gillian Anderson, who plays Scully on The X-Files. If you're a fan of hers and like to help people, check us out! Only requirement is doing at least one project a year, which isn't that bad. Even if you don't want to join, though, and you like the show, go to the site anyway and check out the links I put in there, 'cause there are some very awesome and fun sites. <.g>

What a happy feeling - my sisters came over yesterday and we had girl bonding time :-) I made them come over because I couldn't put together my wedding invitiations by myself because it would take me 13 years <.g.> We played with their hair and found out that Lisa's looks BEAUTIFUL defused with curls. And Megan's looks prostituty when its ironed straight <.g.> We didn't get to mine yet. The girls spent the night, even though they weren't sure they would. (Eric was supposed to be in Walla Walla for a friends graduation, but ended up being too sick, so he stayed home). We still have 62 invitations to put together and we have amazing plans for breakfast. But for now, they are sound asleep. Its fun to have them over :-) And its even kinda fun to have to sneak around quietly until they wake up - E and I are on our computers and turn periodically to smile at each other :-) I have just a nice happy warm feeling inside of me :-)

Laura's never seen a purple computer. <.g.> (Laura, you should go browsing computer stores - its Eric and my favorite activity LOL!) I should really take a picture of mine (with my nice new desk) and then develop it for you all :-) But here's HP's little picture of what it looks like!
The dark colored spots on mine are purple instead of this blue. Its particularly beautiful when the light on the table shines on it because its a nice tranparenty purple :-)

Saturday, June 10, 2000

I haven't blogged about my new computer. Its SO cool! And speedy <.smile.> Eric picked it up on thursday night, and all I've wanted to do is play with it ever since :) I have a custom made (we picked the pieces we wanted inside) HP Pentium III 600 MHz, with a 30.2 GB 7200 rpm hard drive, 128 MBs of ram, a nice graphics card, and best of all - its purple!!!!!! The outside of the case has a purple section oni t, the wrap of the keyboard is purple, and the bottom part of the mouse is purple! And then, when I turned it on - all of the computer desktop settings matched the purple, too <.giggle.> When we purchased the computer, we got a 19" monitor for it, but as I blogged before, it kinda sucks. But if we bring it back, we have to pay a 15% restocking fee, plus, we wouldn't get the free printer and scanner, so out of the 379 we spent, we'd only get 179 back really. So I'm gonna use E's 17" for now, because that's a big jump for me because I had a 14", and he's probably gonna use the 19". Anyhow, I"m a happy chica! I can't wait to do some designing with my big fun computer :-)

Wow, Christie!!! I want 21 new bottles of nail polish!! One of my very best friends from college and I were constantly visiting the local store and buying nailpolish <.smile.> It was always so much fun to try on every color and find the funnest ones :-) Right now, I'm wearing 3 coats of Garden Botanika's Pewter. I had the eye shadow in Pewter before, and loved it, and it makes a nice goldy ivory on my nails. I was trying it out for a wedding color and did 3 coats and that looks really nice :-) Now, if you all would help me not bite my nails, I'd sure appreciate it!!!!!

I really can't believe I didn't blog at all yesterday. I was so busy that I didn't even surf my blogs barely! Maybe I'll make up for it today. But I have lots to do today too, so we'll have to see :-)

I wish i had the same abilities for cooking as Jennifer. I'm lucky if I cook once during the week. When I do cook, it usually turns out okay, but my time is usually focused elsewhere, and so I can't get in the cooking mode. My very bestest food is macaroni and cheese. It takes a lot of work to make it right, but it turns out SO good when I take the time. I want to try lasagna, but that's more than a 2 people meal, so I haven't.

I'm in such a hugging mood today :-) Thanks for putting up with my linky-hugs, because I don't intend to stop :-) {{{hugs to each of my readers :-)}}}

Kristin seems to have found that she can go without blogging NIN and Trent. If she doesn't blog at all <.bigsmirk.> I laugh at myself for thinking that's funny :-) {{Kristin}} I like you even thought you are addicted :-)

I just wanted to welcome back Kellea :-) Its nice to have you back, hon - big hugs to you!!! :-)

wow, Anna, your design for the site was excellent. Don't you hate it when you can't do anything about the now-ugly design of something that you once did perfectly? I had that happen to me when I left a group. I had a GORGEOUSLY done layout for a directory page of a fan club. It had nicely done sidebars and a butterfly theme... here's a small copy of the basics of it, it has buttons down the sides and info in the center, but its not up to show you.
Now they have up IRFC Directory. Mine was complete, updated on a VERY regular basis, and had polls and interesting reasons to return. Theirs is incomplete, not regularly updated, and sad looking. Or at least to me. I can't complain, I suppose. I'm not there any more. But, its still sad. Anyhow, HUGS to you, Anna :)

I really like the final touches that are now up at Joyride. It flows really nicely together and the colors are very calming :-) And I always love butterflies :-) Hugs to Christie!!!

Gina, I giggled about your new pet :-) And I hope you enjoyed your wedding page surfing the other day :-) Hugs to you, hon :-)

Diane asks if Diet Coke is addictive or not. I know Cherry coke is <.g.> Its by FAR my drink of choice! My last real secretary got me addicted to waking up in the morning to Cherry Coke because neither of us liked coffee much. Well, the caffine is definately something I miss on non-work mornings and sometimes part way through my day on saturday, I find myself having a headache - and I'd guess that's from no caffine. But ya know what? I don't care. I love cherry coke. LOL! BTW, Diane? That's my middle name and I like it :-) Kristine Diane Locatis (soon to be Kristine Diane Locatis Beeson. Or Kristine Diane Beeson with a silent locatis in there!!!)

Andre, can I have a pop rock?! :-)

I found another site linking to me :-) SpinningJenny Hi Jenny!

WeddingChannel.com - Hot Colors makes me want to design. I love these colors. I love the combination of them. If I only had enough time, I would make my site look like these colors. Light rasbperry, soft bananas, sweet and soft daiquiri, and my favorite, light grape. The flavor connotations aren't even what I like, I love the touchableness of the combination.

I'm aimlessly surfing a little while I'm supposed to be working, but nothing is popping out at me to blog. I'm kinda sugered up, but I wanted to post something and I wanted to see something to share. <.sigh.> The lathargicness that I'm feelings is really bad, cuz I have lots to do. Tonight is my sisters 8th grade graduation. I know its a big deal for her, but I'm not overly excited about it. I wish I was. I don't have a present for her yet. Not even a card, I hadn't really thought about it till this morning, so she'll have to get a late present. Wedding thoughts are occupying my brain. That with the chocolate cravings <.giggle.> Is it okay to go to my sisters graduation high on chocolate and cherry coke? LOL! :-)

Sunday, June 04, 2000

Well, I made a whole bunch of changes to my wedding pages. I feel so accomplished. And now, as I mentioned before, I'm gonna make breakfast. The cinnamin rolls are smelling glorious, and I am going to make eggs to go with them :-) yummy! Have a great day, friends :)

Laura, this cake sounds delish!! But now you made me all hungry at 6:27am <.g.> Now I'm gonna *have* to make breakfast eventually for my honey that's in bed sounds asleep :-)

Oh, BTW, we have new chairs, too :) We tested out everything at office max before we found those :) Our little livingroom office is gonna be SO awesome when we are done with our designing :-) But I am a little worried about my monitor. For the first time, I didn't purchase the monitor which came with the computer. I got a NEC MulitSync 95. When I go between windows, the screen shifts a little, gets fuzzy and then clears up. Its a little unsettling, and the colors seem a little off. I suppose that once I hook it up to my computer (its on E's right now), maybe the graphics card will be different. We'll see.

Have you ever built a piece of O'Sullivan furniture? I have quite a few of them in my house now. Its kinda cool because they have really nice instructions, 300 million pieces, and because of that, they aren't nearly as expensive as their counterparts :-) My livingroom has 6 pieces of O'sullivan and my dining room has one, too :-) The two newest that we built this weekend are: Mine and Eric's. And here's our entertainment center which we matched the desks to. Then we have 3 alder bookshelfs that are 5 shelfers (I like Ward's 3 for 99 deal LOL!). Pretty good for a girl who doesn't build things, huh?!

So how does PhotoImpact compare to other graphic programs like Paint Shop Pro. I've used PSP since version 3, but I'm trying to expand my graphic skills and since Gina mentioned it with a link <.giggle, I'm lazy otherwise!.>, I checked it out. It looks pretty cool. I don't have money for photoshop yet, so I'm gonna get some more plugins and programs to go with my new computer (should be here in the middle of next week!)

Di's Dailies - on a personal level has a really nice deep colored redesign :-) I like the kalidescope effect in the background, and the black background is nice :-)

Saturday, June 03, 2000

b l o n d i e is a blog I've found linked several times from other blogs I read. Now I see that Nicole has some of my fav Christian music artists in her sidebar :-) Steven Curtis Chapman has been one of my favorites almost as long as Geoff Moore and the Distance (who have apparently disbanded and GM has gone on to his own music). That makes me want to put in those albulms and listen while I surf :-) Thanks Nicole!! :) (BTW, she has some beautiful graphic sets, too :-) )

Okay, Laura's daughter Kayley is so cute:
Last night, Kayley and I were hanging out together and she asked me, "Will you sing the bear and sesame song with me?"
(check out the post to find out what the bear and sesame song is!!) When my sister Megan was little, she had other names for songs too. Our favorite was when she told us she wanted to sing the Michelle song. But we had no idea what that was. FINALLY, we figured out the lyrics she was trying to say - "His arm michelle he lead" = "his army shall he lead" from song in the hymnal <.giggle.>

Hmmmm.... The buzz in blogland is that April got lost at the fabric store! That's gonna be some amazing quilt with the amount of time she's been gone <.giggle.> (yes, I'm in a silly mood this morning :-) )

poor Kristin is still sick. So you suppose she had a Trent overdose? <.giggle.> Get better soon, hon :-)

A tribute to a good friend who has passed away. It seems so hard to say that she's gone, because she was young and so happy. Our times together always had smiles and lots of laughing. And yesterday I found out that she is not longer with us - her death wasn't something I was aware of and asked a mutual friend for her address to send my wedding invitation to her. She would have love to hear that I am the first of the 6 of us girls to get married. I can almost hear her laughing because I'm gonna beat Robiely. Its so sad that such a good friend won't be here to go to any of our weddings, or any of our reunions in the future. I have this picture on my dressor in my bedroom, and have had it out on display for quite some time because it represented a happy time in my life where I had an amazing group of friends. Not all of us have stayed close since I graduated two years ago, but all of these wonderful women had stayed in my prayers and thoughts.
Mindi introduced me to the laughter that is a must in the dorm. Before I even really knew her, she hung out on my hall my junior year and when I did check in, she'd be making noise in either Angie's room or Robe and Rachelle's room. I remember some wild nights making fun of the girl whos room happened to be in between because Mindi and the girls were being too loud and would run back and forth giggling and doing silly things like squirt guns! I remember one night when I was doing check that Mindi decided she wanted to get checked in by all of the Resident Assistants in our dorm. I laughed at her because I knew her better than I knew my other girls, and always had her room number memorized to write her down. Mindi was one of the brilliant minds (mine being the other one :-) ) behind the Impeach Kelly Jordan page. My graphic skills still had much to be desired, but boy did we giggle over the funny things I tried to make :-) It was so much fun. And then we got in the habit of leaving funny notes in the SA suggestion box for Kelly. We were so bad. I lucked out my senior year that she lived next door to Karen and we got more time to hang out together. Mindi Lou, if you were here right now, I'd hug you and tell you how much joy you brought to my life at Walla Walla. I don't think you ever knew how much I appreciated you. Thank you, my friend.

Okay, this graphic set: Jaguarwoman Webdesign: "Raggedy Ann's Afternoon", Index Page is really cool. I *loved* Raggedy Ann and Andy when I was little, and the pictures used here brought back happy memories! (remember, if you like this graphic set, follow the rules on the page, I'm only sharing it because I liked it - its not mine!!)

I found Behind Closed Doors for the first time today. I'm sitting here at my desk trying not to cry for Leah's loss. I'm very amazed and even impressed at the amount of stregth she's had during the last few years. I think I'll visit this blog again. It looks like a place where the author won't hold back her feelings, and sometimes, that's what draws me to reading a journal.

The sun shines in, and hits the wall makes sparkly happys in my hall I want to laugh, I want to cheer For summer weather is coming here! dorky poem by Kristine :-)

eatonweb has a poll going about how many male bloggers vs. female bloggers there are. More males than females? If you look at my sidebar, you'd never know!!!
