Oh, I just saw a commercial for yesterday's Rosie. Vanessa Marcil was on :-) I really like her, she's such a cute person :-) I wish I had taped it. For those of you who don't know, she was Brenda Barrett Jacks on General Hospital for YEARS and then played Gina on 90210 until right before the last episodes. Very good in both places :-) Her fiancee (who may not be her fiancee anymore, I'm not sure) is Tyler Christopher. He was just on the season finale of The Pretender (with Michael T. Weiss, 2 sexy men on one show? It was amazing!)

I'm really flustered and lathergic today. I mean, it wasn't enough that my internet was terrible today, but I wasn't feeling all that well. So now I'm haphazardly surfing blogs and trying to make myself more cheery. Its kinda working :-) I can't figure out what's wrong with my computer. Its pissing me off because I don't know what else to check. <.sigh.> Damn AOL. I swear, they are messing with something in this area or something that made me all screwed up. Maybe tomorrow it will work :-)

So it atethat post. No wonder I hate netscape. I was bitching about my browser woes, but apparently, blogger didn't like that. Anyhow, I had a nice weekend doing wedding stuff and introducing Eric's family to mine. I'm working on lotsof wedding stuff right now, but I should be back to my normally bloggy-self soon :-)

Monday, May 29, 2000

Okay, this is a week late, but so what? Who else LOVED the X-Files season finale?! Sure, I hate that Mulder was abducted and David only signed for 11 episodes next season, but Scully's pregnant! And it is SOOOOOO Mulder's baby! They snuggled! In a bed! <.giggle> Anyway, someone visited the set in March and took pictures. I saw this one weeks ago, but now the books make much more sense! LOL The picture is supposedly one of the mysterious gifts from The Ghosts Who Stole Christmas. : )

Di's Dailies - a journal of my day to day life. This looks like a nice blog - its got a pretty tiley background, and Di's linking to me :-) I found her in my stats! :-)

Okay, I updated my sidebar a little, and I notice that the imood sensor isn't working. It wasn't working on other blogs I visited, so I'm assuming it'll be back soon and not messing up my tables at that time LOL!

Okay, I want to be at cecily's house for a rainstorm. This sounds so nice :-) I kinda like the rain. If I didn't, Washington state would not be a good choice of a place to live. The wonderful thing about rain is that I know how green and beautiful everything is going to be because of it :-) I live in a wonderful heavenly place. Drive an hour and a half in any direction and I could be at the ocean, on top of a huge mountain (mt. hood), in the desert, or by the river. very cool stuff :-)

Sunday, May 28, 2000

Hmmm.... I swear that I posted late friday afternoon. I think blogger ate some stuff. My future-in-laws are here this weekend, and so I have so much going on, so you won't see me much!

Friday, May 26, 2000

<./rant> Okay, I am TOTALLY pissed off right now. I don't know if I can say that, but I am! Mom and I are watching MSNBC. It's a horrible tragedy - it was the last day of school somewhere in Florida. A 7th grader pulled out a gun and shot his language teacher in the face in front of everyone. I can't imagine how those students felt seeing that. This, however, is what pissed me off so greatly: They have the police chief on the phone. He says, and I am quoting here, "This was not a problem kid. You know, not like a special education student." Excuse me? Since when are the children with special needs in the schools being the ones who are killing teachers and classmates? They are not "problem" students, you idiot! I am SO mad at some people's stupidity, I can barely see straight. I just want to lean in and whack him upseide the head! Maybe then some sense will end up in his pea brain. <./end rant>

Have you heard of BBMak? I heard them on All my Children last week, and was very impressed. So then when I saw the single at Best Buy last weekend, I picked it up. Way cool, check Back Here out!

Phew, I lucked out. The MTV movie awards are on thursday night, not monday. Monday is my little sisters 8th grade graduation :-) So now I can see both LOL!

Thursday, May 25, 2000

That's all for tonight, sweeties :-) Going to do more cleaning - I have to do the bathroom, vacuum, and make frosting for the brownies :-) I'm blowing kisses at you!! ^~~~~~

Its such a joy to come home every day and watch soaps. Its so much fun to see the intricate plot twist and the beautiful people. Some of you may say this makes me shallow. But really, I don't think that soap-watching alone is enough to make you shallow. Sucked in? yes.... but it gives me a fun thing to look forward to every day :-) For those of you still reading, I watch As the world turns (I am loving the Rose-Lily storyline) and All My Children (I can't wait for Alex and Edmund to find Dimitri!!) And I'm a big General Hospital fan for many years, but I haven't watched lately. For many reasons. One of them is the Ingo Rademacher Fan club Silly stuff <.g.>

courtesy of everyone and their dog <.g.>: My Bond Girl name is Kay F. Eyewatch <.snort.> Okay, that's bad!!!

lish at b i n d i asks "What scent would your blog be?" Hmm... I'd say its the combination of vanilla and the smell of chocolate chip cookies baking. Sometimes, a whiff of V's Love Spell or GB's pink grapefruit lotion or the taste of the pear jelly bellys or the sound of falling rain on the metal roof. Yes, I know, those aren't all smells.... I got caught up in the whole feeling of it....:-) Anyhow, Lish, you can make your own scent! I don't see cinnamin on this list, but honeysuckle and vanilla are on here, and cinnamin MIGHT be in one of the stores :-) (and in the store, you can actually mix the scents instead of just picking one!) My sister had their pink grapefruit, and it had a wonderful cool smell that you wouldn't have expected. I want to do this sometime :-) I *heart* garden botanika :-)

Cannot find server. This page with its ingenious design has a tip about making a dif icon show up in your favorites for your page. Mine has this feature enabled already - you should see a little brown and tan heart like the lovelink at the end of this post. Bookmark this page and see if it works for you too :-)

The Baldwin Brothers by Franklin Foer <.giggle.> The Baldwins all have such wonderful eyes. And this article made me smile :-)

I'm a sucker. I was playing over at PixelToy and found an advertizement for ElectricBiscuit. Not that I think this is a valid place to advertize, mind you. But I had to see who else was drawing with me :-) (look, someone kissed me on PT too :-) )

Look! Rain this weekend. How on EARTH will I entertain the future-in-laws now? We were going to go to Beacon Rock and Bonneville Dam and to see the waterfalls and to Crowne Point. Now we have no fun things to do <.sigh.>

Kristin makes sense:
You know... blogging that makes it somewhat of a commitment because I've just told all of you that I'm going to go clean, and now, if I don't do it and end up blogging more, you'll think I'm a liar. So, I'll stick to what I said. Go me.
That must be why I'm so to-do-list fanatically when it comes to blogger. I mean, my wedding blog is almost nothing but lists. Which is just fine with me, I feel better and more organized if I blog something :-) So go, Kristin - and I'll *try* to do the same thing tonight :-)

Wow, LaLaBlog got its own domain and a facelift!! Note to annoyed people. If I want to blog about other blogs, I can. I enjoy watching the lifes of the people in my sidebar. So sue me!!! :-)

more...a weblog has a beautiful new redesign - very nice and clean feeling :-)

zal made me laugh!!! She compared IE to a hershey bar and netscape to a carrot <.giggle.> I agree! Netscape is SO annoying to me because my designs can come out perfect in IE but look like CRAP in Netscape!!!

This page (Dougray Scott dot com - An Unofficial Website for Actor Dougray Scott) makes me want to watch Ever After again. I had no idea he was gonna be on MI:2, or I would have been lusting after it even more <.giggle.> (link courtesy of outlet)

Wednesday, May 24, 2000

I want this set..... Cooking.com - Product Details Wouldn't it be fun to have 100 cookie cutters?! I think so :-)

Hey, Laura, it was Veruca Salt Violet Beauregarde that turned blue :-) That movie is so silly, and the Umpa-Umpah song always gets stuck in my head <.giggle.> Did anyone watch the Futurama that was very similar? It was hilarious :-) Thanks, Andre, I'm a dork and messed that one up!!! He remember: "Violet, you're turning violet, Violet!" <.giggle.>

If you haven't read these newsletters, take a second to go over here. A List Apart: For People Who Make Websites This is a project that goes along with the Web Standards project, who I so totally support. Their desire for complience in ALL browsers of the basic features of HTML and CSS and other stuff that I don't know much about like XML is a worthy desire, and I too would be happy if my pages looked the same in IE as they do in Netscape!!!

Andre at X on the flex hit me now (yes, the Andre of power bloggers :-)) put up the coolest thing! Its a PixelToy, and you can draw cool things - go and check it out, I left a little message there :-)

Tuesday, May 23, 2000

Will you come and chat with me while I clean my house for the coming of the future-in-laws this weekend? It'd sure make me happier if I had someone to talk to while I cleaned :-)

And I didn't mean to imply that small weddings were bad. I think every person needs to do what's absoluately best and happiest for their wedding day :-) Nothing should matter but the couple, whether its a couple surrounded by tulle and lavender or a couple in vegas :-) Hugs to all my wedding-planning and eloping-planning friends :-)

I just noticed that my just.found list on the sidebar is alphabetical. That totally wasn't on purpose, I just added them as I found them <.giggle.>

Several places I must blog about: : : : the webmistress blogs again : : : I have been going over here via links on other good sites - its one of those sites that's worth my time to raise my font up so I can see it :-) And then today, I found one with a cool name - spunkymunky <.giggle.> Its all nice and red :-)

Hmmm, blogger ate my huge post. I saw it on my blog, and then it disappared. Luckily, I still had a copy of it up. Trying again!:
As I surf page linked off of other pages I read, I am reminded of why there are a whole section of blogs I avoid. There are some people out there that are just SO rude to others. They have made their journals into a hateful bashing session, and for whatever reason, turned to being bad representations of the blogging community at large. I really enjoy journalling. For the first time in my life, I am able to write about my life, and enhance it with the things I like the most - webpages and graphics. My paper and pencil journals were never very sucessful, but this one is working out much better. Not only do I enjoy writing, but I enjoy reading. I try to write notes or at least blog notes about the places I like, and it has found me some wonderful friends. I initially just thought this would be a good way to network, but now its been more fun than that :-) I hate to think about the bad people in the blog circle. But sometimes, its inevitable that in any happy place you are in, some bad apple will try to ruin it for the rest. Take the loss of the wonderful blogging talent of Kellea at IBlogU. Her blog was a delightful read, but the unkindness of some ruined it for the many. Dwelling on this kind of thing isn't fun. But I wanted to send out {{{{hugs}}}} to the people I read and enjoy so much. Thank you for being wonderful sweet people, without bashing others :-) I don't know that my blogs are always perfectly positive. But I can definately say that bashing, being hateful, and downright rudeness to strangers who it hurts is not my style, and never will be

Man am I wordy and philosophical today!! Don't mind me, must be the fact that I *didn't* drink my cherry coke this morning for breakfast <.snicker.>

<.giggle.>. The stories and stuff that Christie share are always so much fun. And Garrett is just such a cutie! :-)

via yack'd'yack, I found Flights of Fancy .:. A Weblog. Theres some really neato stuff here, and it looks like a nice one to continue reading :-)

I really like about pages. I'm fascinated with reading about someone that I don't know. It gives me a new perspective and maybe I'm just nosey (yes, to all of you who read my last post, I guess I'm nosey LOL!) My about page isn't anything to write home about. Not anywhere as fun as Kristin's anyways :-) {{hugs}} to Kristin who has 2 kids, 2 cats, a dog, and fish and *still* manages to find time to blog :-)

There is this lady and her little boy who I see almost every morning. I have been watching them for a long time - it used to be a pregnant lady who waited every day for the bus. And then she stopped showing up on the corner by my house for a while, only to appear later with a little front carrier with a teeny baby bulge in it. She stands and waits for the city bus, and so many times I've wondered where she is going every day. I've watched as she pushed her stroller and seemed to say comforting words to her baby, and now lately watched her as she holds the curious boy who would like to be running around instead of waiting quietly for the bus. What is she doing? Where is she going? Is her little boy happy? Seeing her every morning gives me a touch of curiousty and a sense that all is right and consistant in the world.

I'm behind on my correspondence. I have a nice pile of emails that I need to reply to, and so bear with me as I try to catch up :-) Once my sister is out of school and working full time, it'll save me some stress :-) woo hoo!!! *blowing kisses to my readers!*

Okay, this would freak me out too. Like when I lost my yellow zip disk. I have everything I'm currently working on graphicwise on that disk. about a week later, it appeared, but I was so dismayed at loosing it.... so I know the feeling, Kerri!

Saturday, May 20, 2000

I have tons to do this weekend. Tons and tons!! :-) So if you don't see me much, you'll know why <.giggle.> :-)

There are quite a few people who I visited yesterday in bloggerland that eloped or are thinking about it! You know, I thought about it for a split second at one point, but I have always had wonderful dreams for my wedding. I want to wear a big dress and feel like a princess. I want to walk down the aisle and see the look on Eric's face when he sees me in my dress for the first time. I want to have my family there to celebrate with me. I want the opportunity to decorate the beautiful octagon church so it looks like its covered with the touch of an angel-fairy with tulle and flowers and happiness. I want to leave in a cloud of bubbles for a week of relaxation. Sure, eloping could save me tons of money, stress, and several hours of blushing with everyone starring at me, but I am enjoying my planning and thoughts :-) This is not to make any of the aforementioned people feel bad, just my personal thoughts on what you said :-)

Friday, May 19, 2000

Tripod is TOTALLY annoying, but look! I finally made it work! LOL Since Gurlpages.com decided to upgrade and not let anyone log in to update their pages, I'm temporarily playing with new hosts. So far all I have on my page is my new X-Files story In My Life. <.shameless begging> Feedback is so very muchly appreciated. LOL I'll be your new best friend... <.end shameless begging> *giggle*

The Blogger Search is back :-) Now I can see if anyone has blogged me lately that I haven't seen already :-) Awww... like what Laura said about my page... what sweet compliments!!! I'm really glad you like the design - {{{{hugs}}}} And I *love* your butterfly tattoo. If I were to get a tattoo, it would be a nice small lavender and purple with yellow accented butterfly on my left upper shoulder right where my tank top strap is. Noooo, I haven't thought about this much <.giggle.> Anyhow, sounds like more pain than I need to inflict upon myself, and Eric isn't a big tattoo fan....

I want to chase rainbows too - that's such a good quote. I don't honestly remember if I've read Emily's Quest, though. Maybe I'll have to do that someday.... after I read the 20 Jude Deveraux books on my shelf <.giggle.> :-)

I'm suck a link slut. I have so many, and I'm always finding more LOL! via Andre and the power blogger list, I found the most hilarious webloglog :) Its a blog about other blogs <.giggle.> What a fun concept!! :-)

Okay, I'm desperately in need of another trip to the bookstore. *g* I've taken to rereading books now, and today I picked up "Emily's Quest" by LM Montgomery. I've been reading Lucy Maud since I was 8, and I don't think I'll ever stop. LOL Anyway, there's this one passage towards the beginning that I've always loved.

Once, when Emily had been very small, living with her father in the little old house at Maywood, where he died, she had started out to seek the rainbow's end. Over long wet fields and hills she ran, hopeful, expectant. But as she ran the wonderful arch was faded--was dim--was gone. Emily was alone in an alien valley, not too sure in which direction lay home. For a moment her lips quivered, her eyes filled. Then she lifted her face and smiled gallantly at the empty sky.
"There will be other rainbows," she said.
Emily was a chaser of rainbows.

I just love that thought - being a chaser of rainbows. I'd love to be a chaser of rainbows. : )

the junkbox's stages of blogging This was very interesting :->

via lotusmaiden.com, I found out that I am not desirable. Specifically, A middle sized lady with small breasts. Not desirable.. That's sad! Guess I'll have to make sure and always wear these :-)

didcha notice that every other posts today is a oneliner? Not intentional LOL!

weblog shmeblog (jish.nu) suggested to the webloggers to test out the links - my neighbors are Metal Heart Fumbling (cool name!) and Highindustrial. For Linksluts, my neighbors are Thoughtful Thoughts (who I visit every day anyhow!) and THL's weblog. For Blog girls, I have To Make a Short Story Long on one side and lunabloggin on the other side. Does Blog girls reset the neighboring links very often? <.shamelessselfpromotion.> And for wedblog, there is just me and Cecily - are you getting married? did you just get married come and check out the wedblog :-) <./endshamelessselfpromotion.> :-)

I like the background at play for today .com :-) The happy floweries make me smile :-)

Do anyone have a magic cure for the big giant knot in my back? Its a big persistant knot that takes forever to go away and then at the first sign of stress, pops up again. Makes it hard to sleep, makes me more suseptable to headaches, and sitting in front of the computer is harder - oh the horror! emailme

I want the BLOGGER - Search back!!!

I can't believe that someone with such profound thoughts links to me. I totally get her boring blogger talk/defense post. It really shows some of the same thoughts that I have had. Maybe my real content on this page is limited, but that doesn't make it any less the thought process that I go through in my journalling. Thank you, Zippygirl, for being so profound :-)

Its donut day!!! :-) Wanna come and have a donut with me?

April loves fabric. I wish that I had more time to love fabric - I think I could be a really cool designer because I see the fabric and invision wonderful combinations with it. I made quilts for both my sisters one summer. That was the last summer that I didn't have a full time job. Now, I'm here working full time, and any spare moments are spent on the computer. So no fabric for me - April, will you make something pretty with your fabric and show me so I can live vicariously though you?! :-)

c a t h a r s i s redesigned! I really like the contrast between the black and the nice mint and pink.

Thursday, May 18, 2000

I haven't had much to say today. I guess I'm so busy in my brain right now that I can't even share it. Pretty silly, huh? When I get home tonight, I'll talk more, I bet :-) Eric's staying late at work tonight because they are moving part of the business upstairs....

Gina says:
The only bad thing about the Blog This window.. is you can't edit your booboo's .. drats :o|
Well, that's true, but you still can go to blogger and edit from there. I think that the advantages of Blog This! definately outweight the disadvantages. If you don't know what I'm talking about, check the very bottom of your Settings page and you can find a bookmarklet to help you :-)

I swear I am allergic to the bathroom spray. I don't know what's worse, someone who makes the bathroom stink or someone who sprays too much spray. <.ugh.>

Wednesday, May 17, 2000

<.sadblog.> I miss having my best friend around to talk to. I don't know that she's reading this blog page much anyhow, so I'll just pour my heart out to all you guys. I hate not having friends here to do things with. The aforementioned best friend used to be online for hours ever day, and now I'm lucky if I see her for 15 minutes every day. This bites because I miss talking to her and I miss sharing my day with her. <.sigh.> Unfortunately, we live 2000 miles away from each other. She's gonna be one of my bridesmaids in my wedding this summer, and its hard to plan without people to talk to about it. But my sis (and maid of honor) will be out of school in like 10 days or so and then she'll be around more and I'll get to have someone to talk to. Its just hard to have no friends. <./endsadblog.>

Yep, I'm definatelly gonna need a new keyboard. I plugged my bad one into the other computer and the B/N/Space/?/and arrow keys still don't work. So I'll have to bring a spare in from home until I can go shopping. I'd love a natural keyboard - do any of you have one? Let me know what you think of them :-)

Yes, Gaile, there's a power blogger list :-) I like watching all these ratings. Its fun to see who rates where and how they work. I'm also a statistics slut I check my stats and graphs regularly to see who's reading me and how I'm doing. Its lotsa fun :-)

Okay, I sure didn't mean to make April's mood tumble down <.pout.> I still like the domain aprilrain.com :-) And <.giggle.> I kinda mispoke yesterday - I meant that my birthday was just last month in April, not that it changed from being April at anytime LOLOL! I'm a ditz :-)

Christie says:
Buffy was gooooood! The concensus at Mom's house....tonite's episode could've been the season finale. Does Riley love Buffy or what??? That boy dug around in his chest for that computer chip! Aaahh...what a cutie!! And I've got a question about Tara. Do you think she's a demon? Or perhaps part demon? Here's why I ask. Remember the episode where Willow & Tara were going to do a spell to track down demons in the immediate area? They were supposed to use this special dust that would turn colors and identify demons. And while Willow had her eyes closed, Tara threw her dust under the bed. Remember? We think that Tara was hiding her demonhood b/c she didn't know that Willow was a demon tolerate person. What do you think?? Anyone care to share their theories???
I agree, Buffy was good :) I am so hooked on that show :-) I think I said the same thing to Eric about how this would have made a good season finale. Last season, stuff was so hooked together (even thought we really didn't get to see it all as hooked together because of the stupidness of WB execs <.g.>), and lead up to the season finale, and I think that's exactly what has been happening this season leading up to last nights epi. I don't think that the next episode is really gonna seem like a season finale after this!! Anyhow I really do think that Riley loves Buffy. He got some serious ass-kicking this episode for her. And did you see how he trusted her when she went after Adam? Very cool :-) And yes, I do think that Tara has some sort of demon side that she is hiding. There is something there that's she's definately hiding and I'd cite the same incident to support that theory :-) That's my two cents. I defiantely laughed last night at Spike. He's so funny! And they made some funny comment about how they'd rather be fighting the mayor and that made me laugh too :-) 'sall for now !

via Gina, I found LaLaBlog. Laura's got lots of fun things to say, and I think I could have lotsa fun over here reading them :-)

Kristin hates laundry. I don't like it either <.giggle.> I don't like it so much that its all over my floor. You'd think I'd *want* to fold it so that it wouldn't be my eyesore, but *NNOOOOOO* I only think of that when I go to bed ... "boy, I wish I had taken care of those clothes so I won't have to dig through the pile in the morning" LOL!

Randomness has a beautiful purple facelift!!! I *really* like it! Its got nice yellow accents, too, and that is happy :-) {{{hugs}}}} to Julie who is back from her little hiatus of game playing <.giggle.>

I am so frazzled. For those of you who normally watch for my morning barrage of posts, I'm just now on a working keyboard. If you would have gotten a post before, it would have had no N's or B's or spaces. <.sigh.> And that was only one problem of the morning.... So wow, I'll try to blog more in a while, when I get caught up on everything I should have been doing instead of fixing my computer and keyboard and answering the phone and everything!!!

Tuesday, May 16, 2000

I'm definately a power blogger lately, but my ratings on any of the other blogging lists aren't showing up (weblogs, metalog and linkwatcher {I don't appear to be added to the last two lists yet, despite 2 emails each!}), so I guess that pretty much means I'm wordy, but not well linked or read <.giggle.> Which doesn't bother me much because I do most of this for my own personal enjoyment, and along the way, I'm meeting tons of new friends!!!
little note: 13 should be my lucky number for the day - Power Blogger #13 with 13 posts and 13 hits from there :-) (besides, I'm getting married on the 13th too :->)

I found several cool blogs tonight - mindbloggle and yack'd'yack. And silly stuff, they both used to have almost the same name :-> They look like fun ones to read :-)

I saw this before on several diva blogs, but didn't blog it until today - CNET.com - News - Entertainment & Media - "Digital Divas" take on MSN What nice coverage and publicity for the fight. :-)

shoot, another blogger eaten post <.sigh.> I was trying to post to my friends to let them all know that I created a blog webring for engaged or just married people's wedding-ish blogs, and if any of you wanted to check it out, its at wedblog :-) Silly stuff, Jish blogged it before it was even operational LOL! :-)

intothefire.com: semi-sarah content (sarah mclachlan blog!) This is really cool - info about Sarah M, my very favorite singer!! :-)

More on the fall line-up: The X-Files will be on for one more season. According to Hollywood Reporter, Chris Carter re-signed for one more year, and Gillian Anderson will also come back. Still no news on David Duchovny. Frankly, I'm really upset. I don't want an 8th season! I think this should be the end, although not with the ending they chose. *g* I want onscreen smoochies, dang it! I know they're smoochying off screen (Mulder/Scully, that is. NOT Gillian/David. Don't get me started on those so-called fans who advocate Gill/David.), and I want to see it! I want happiness! I want the end of the show, and the start of movies. I do NOT want David for only 6-9 episodes!!!!!!!!!! Mulder IS the X-Files. Scully is wonderful, Gillian is fabulous and I adore her, but the X-Files were MULDER'S baby, not Scully's! Where's the balance without the believer? There's no point without Mulder, and David is Mulder. None of these stupid recasting ideas. LOL So, yeah. Them's my thoughts. *giggle*

Very good news - via a link from more...: 'Roswell,' 'Felicity' avoid expulsion This is the WB fall lineup. They are keeping all my favs!! Very happy Kristine-ey, if Roswell was gonna be cancelled, I'd be very unhappy. I knew that Buffy and Angel would be staying, and same for DC, but wasn't sure about Roswell. And those are 4 of my fav shows :-) I love Felicity, but the timeslot from this year made it hard to watch, so I'm glad its coming back to wednesday where it should be :-)

ROTFL! E! Online - Features - 90210 Yearbook - Who Did Who Okay, this was hilarious. Of course, I've watched most of these lust-filled episodes <.giggle.> Yes, pure and innocent, that's me 0:-) More to follow on the joys and tears of series/season finales.

via Recycled Thoughts..., I found Illusions of Grandeur :-) I love the domain name aprilrain.com, that's absolutely beautiful! :-) April is my favorite month (<.giggle, that's when my birthday was!.>). This blog looks like lots of fun to read :-)

spitfire! did a redesign!! :-) I like these colors - I have a jacket that is that exact same color of pupley blue with that exact same yellow writing on it from when I was a resident assistant at WWC :-) And now that I think about it, that jacket was the inspiration for a design I made once that got me kicked out of a group ROTFL! Candi's is mucho better :-) {{{hugs]}}}

I know, I'm gonna sound like a broken record, telling you about my favorite sites over and over, but these pictures are absolutely adorable!!! Not only do I love the little kitties, but Jacob is a cutie patooty! :-) [{{hugs to Kandee for sharing her pics!}}]

Monday, May 15, 2000

Joyride redesigned!!! The colors are really nice, and I really like the dividers :-) Also, as I mentioned before, Christie has a cam now. Almost makes me think I should have one :-)

Kristin is rearranging her office. If only I had space to rearrange! I have NO idea where my new computer will go because my living room is all jammed in here! Good luck and have fun, Kristin! :-)

Dell Computers. Okay, so here's another option. PIII 600MHz | 128MB ram | 30GB 7200 hard drive | 19" M990 Monitor | 32MB Nvidia TNT2 M64 AGP graphics card | 48X CD-Rom | MS Works Grand Total = $1499 (shipping is more than the HP, I believe) Its very similar to the HP. The HP is an Athlon, and that's the only major difference. Of course, I know nothing about graphics cards, so that doesn't help me LOL! I like how the HP looks externally better than the Dell. Hmmmm... I hate decisions :-)

HP computers. I'm looking at buying one. I really need a new computer. I was playing aroudn with configurations this weekend, and I'm really kinda looking at the following: Athlon** | 600MHz | 128 MB | 30.6 7200 rpm hard drive | 48X CDRom | 32MB Nvidia RIVA TNT2Pro | 19" M90 monitor | Xenon Purple case, keyboard, and scrolly mouse | MS Works ** (I did have PIII, but Athlon for this model wasn't much more) Grand total = $1609.00 That's about in the price range. I could go down on the monitor and the harddrive if I needed to :-) But I think this is my fav so far. I'll keep you posted on it all as I work on my search :-)

Finalfantasy. Eric loves the games. I have watched a good portion of FFVIII because he played it 3 times or so In several playing sessions, he renamed Rinoa to Krissy and Squall to Eric, and that was more fun. Rinoa is pretty :-)
from squaresoft
Anyhow, this says a movie is coming out :-) I think it might be fun to watch it :-)

Anybody wanna come help me with my to do list? :-)

Windows 98 tips:Using the Address bar to run programs on your computer - This is a good hint. I use this lots, actually :-) Let's take a tour of Kristine's toolbar, just for fun LOL! I have my windows toolbar set up to be two toolbars high, with icons to AOL, LeechFTP, IE, the Desktop icon, Windows Explorer, and Outlook Express. Then next to that is the address bar. Then I have a Daily toolbar that gives me links to my fav places. Underneath all that are the programs that I have opened, and at the end near the systems tray is the Font Storage folder. I made my font folder into a toolbar, and have it all divided up into the different types of font, so I can go into the font I want, click it, and its open for use in PSP or whatever program I need the font for. I know there are programs to do that, but for one-at-a-time use of fonts I know, this is easiest :-) Then on my sidebar is the microsoft shortcut bar - its got 4 sections, Love, which has all of my utlities and programs, Links which have easy links to online stuff (much like my daily folder, actually ), Office, which is the actual toolbar that has word, excel, etc., and then Locatis which has all the work things I need like Quickbooks Pro and a timecard program. That's my desktop. All covered in lavender and my pretty paper graphic which is being used for my wedding inviations!!!. Hope you enjoyed LOL!

I'm wearing the *cutest* little silver butterfly bracelet. Did you know that I love butterflies? Rina knows :-) My very first good graphic design was of the IRFC Directory and featured some beautiful butterflies. I loved that design <.sigh.> if only the IRFC had liked me more LOL!

What cuties!!!

<.tip.> never set your cherry coke so close to your keyboard that you could accidently spill it. <./tip.>

Gina, don't you just *love* free preview weekends? I think they are so fun because you can see all the good movies that are out on cable w/o watching the scrambled channel. (hint, hint - if you ever want to annoy someone, watch the scrambled channels of movies that you love and laugh at the right times and be all happy. I drove my sister crazy doing that one summer LOLOL!) Anyhow, I liked You've Got Mail, too - Eric hasn't seen it yet, so maybe we'll have to rent it :-)

Okay, working on a project that should be unveiled later on today. Very exciting stuff :-)

Okay, I'm watchingFashion Emergency, cuz its lots of fun. Its on lots. But this one has a girl getting a makover on the Another World set. LOL, its funny cuz Another World is cancelled now. Linda Dano is helping with the makeover :->

Happy Mothers day :-)
This is a picture that my aunt sent to me a few weeks ago. Its of me and my mom when I was really little and I love the picture! I hadn't seen it before. So I plan to get it enlarged for my mom, but I didn't get a chance to do that yet, so I copied it into my moms card that I made (yes, I still make cards. Just like a little kid. But hey, that's what started me on the whole love-productions thing :) ) Anyhow, I just thought I'd share my picture :-) Happy mothers day to all of the mommies out there :-)

I don't know if I just didn't notice this yesterday or if its a new thing today, but joyride has a webcam!! And Garrett is SUCH a cutie!! :-)

awwww.... It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy to read thoughts like this because I feel the SAME way :-) I also love the redesign of Silver's Place. Kristin did good with a design that reflects her blog which I like so much too :-) !!!

what a scare that would be!

Have you ever spent time browsing various graphic designer linkware graphics sets? Its really cool to notice a trend - a particular *thing* that each graphic artist focuses on. Just citing a few of the examples I browse through frequently - these are my personal generalizations, and not what the artists may have inteded :-) For Kandee, her graphics have a beautiful real appeal. She has flowers and objects that are realistic and beautifully flowing together. For Kellea, it seems to be realistic jewels and very nice tiling backgrounds. For Gabrielle, the multiple vibrant colors and neat rollover interfaces flow through most every set. In the case of Leah, she does really nice textures and colors that blend elegently. (Please don't feel bad if I didn't mention someone particular, I'm just giving examples off the top of my head.) All of these ladies (and many others that I encounter) are so talented. I wish that I could see a trend flowing through my designs, but I have so many ideas that its hard to pick just one type of outputs. I wish I had the quantity that these ladies have. I can't even imagine having my 62nd set up!! LOL! Anyway, after saying all that, I think I will go and work on uploading the newest series of sets I have and maybe work on a few more brainstorms. Who knows, maybe in a few years, I'll be blogged about for my special *thing* :-)

I have so many things I should be doing now. Updating my index page, uploading some zip files, finishing up the webring I'm creating. But instead, I'm browsing blogs <.smirk.> I'm so bad!

Two goddesses to aquaint myself with today - I really like the tag line on the top of // domestic goddess \\: sitting around eating ben & jerry's and watching soap operas all day...yeah, right. ROTFL! :) This looks like a really nice blog. And Andi, the blogger of the page, homeschools her daughter. That's a cause near and dear to my heart as well :-) Also found at the same time (I'm surfing Power Bloggers LOL!) digital goddess - looks to be a rather interesting blog too :-) The graphics are very nice and pink over here :-)

I received the sweetest compliment via more... a weblog:
I found a great weblog today : Hopeless Romantics. She also has a wedding blog. Design is great and I love the whole concept she has behind both the blogs. A definite read.
Wow. That is SO sweet - thank you Lee. I love the design and content on your blog and can't wait to add you to my visiting list :-) (pssssttt - she's one of the buffylog girls!! :-) )

according to the CosmoGIRL!: astrologic horoscope: Tonight, there should be lots of fun things in store for you, so be sure and catch a nap this afternoon. Hmm, since I have absolutely NO plans for this evening, that's intreguing LOL! But the nap sounds good. Why do I have to be a retard who can't sleep in on the weekend?!

CRAP!. Blogger just lost a HUGE HUGE HUGE post about computers that took me like 30 minutes to compose while going through 3 sites and reviewing 4 computer configurations that I was looking at purchasing. Do you know how frustrating that is? <.sigh.> Maybe I'll try again later.

Why do stupid tv channels have to preempt most of my soap? I was really looking forward to coming home and watching ATWT, and instead, I only got about 10 minutes of the show and instead I got Boaters Plucked From Chilly River Waters. Why do I need to watch 10 minutes of the rescue and then 40 minutes of them TOWING THE FRICKIN CANOE AWAY?! Anybody else watch As the World Turns that can give me a recap? <.sigh.> searching myself for one, too....

Look, I'm a Power Blogger!! That's really cool :-) I had lotsa fun blogging today - I hope you all enjoyed reading my silly thoughts :-)

Another facelist that I saw this morning and had up to blog about is silver blog :-) Cecily has such a great art sense that I never could have! It looks great :-)

Okay, so I leave my desk for a few hours, and look what happened: Recycled Thoughts... got a facelift!! Very nice, hon :-)

I'm glad to see that Kandee with the beautiful flowery blog isn't dead. Also emailed Julie with the soft gorgeous blog because she hasn't posted for a few days either :-) I watch for posts from all of the people on my sidebar and its always sad when nothing gets posted :> Just watchin' out for all you girls :-) {{hugs}}

Eric would like this site: Every Rule... he's a real game freak. Or at least at home. They have hundreds of board games. I like games, but not as fanatically as him. I really like double solitaire, personally :-) And Life (I always want little pink girls in my car to name ). And Monopoly (give me the first cheap squares and I'm happy!). And Scabble. (which is funnest when you have a typing computer that will let you enter in wild card characters and the combination of letters you have LOL!) :-) Eric likes the complicated games. Him and his friends are wacko :-) But I like them anyhow :) via: usr/bin/girl/

Pearls, Pearls, Pearls: supposed to be good luck on your wedding day. I don't have any real ones, just a nice pair of fake dangly earring ones. I don't know if they would really match my dress, so I don't know what jewelry I'll wear. I have beautiful little diamond earrings that twinkle and sparkle, but my hair will be down, so you won't really see my ears. My heart locket from Megan sits in just the right spot when I have my dress on, but it might not be dressy enough. We'll see :-) I think that's all the jewelry looking for today - thanks to Gina for giving me lots of fun!! :-)

This one is pretty :-) I like the channel ring - I have a fake amethyst/diamond one that i got at Nordstroms for $12, and its really pretty :-) But this one is real LOL! No $12 rings here :-)

I guess I'm not a big fan of HUGE jewelry. That's okay, cuz if I was gonna spend 1949.00 on something, it'd be a damn cool computer :-> Anyhow, the large jewelry is really not me - that's why my engagement ring is nice and small:
I love it :-) Doesn't he have good taste? :-)

between my jewelry blogging: CNET.com - News - Entertainment & Media - "Digital Divas" take on MSN 'kay, this story is really getting publicized now - that's really good because big companies should NOT be able to stomp on people! via she says

Krissy!!!!!! I love my birthday picture!!!! {{{{{{HUGS}}}}} You so rock, girl. *g* I got some excellent presents. A DVD player, X-Files Season One on DVD, George Clooney on ER, plane tickets so I can go be Krissy's bridesmaid in August, and a book by my new favorite author Gillian Roberts. She writes intelligent, witty and totally awesome murder mysteries, so go check her out! So, yes, I'm 19 now, and also home for the summer. Wish me luck getting that job at the day care!! : )

I wish I knew if Megan would like this style. Its really pretty - I like the flower, and she likes sapphires a lot. I might get it for her and see what she thinks :-)

Following Gina's footsteps, I'm doing a tour of jewelry.com, too. Does that make me a copy cat? YES! That's okay, I don't mind! I kinda like this :-)

For some bizarre reasons, HR wasn't showing up in the freshblog listings. I thought I just kept missing seeing my name for the last few days, but yesterday I looked into it a little more - and found out that somehow my blog had been reset to a private blog. Anyone else had this problem? I KNOW I didn't switch it! Now I'm back, and will know to check more often on my status :)

I'm sucked into a new game. Civilization II (Gold Edition) is lotsa fun. If only I could spend as much time on my graphics as I have with this game <.giggle.> So if you have any good strategies for it, send 'em my way! :-) I haven't had this much fun since I got Simcity 3000 for Christmas. Actually, Eric got the game for Christmas, but I played it more LOL! Anyhow, I've found out how easily I can get sucked into games. Especially when I'm sick and don't feel like doing anything else :-)

lovelink - I just had to say that the below picture is not my best. I'm sorry, but I'm a little sick, and now that I look at it again, its a little fuzzier than my norm <.g.> The idea was there, but my brain is all tingly from this cold!! enjoy anyhow :-)

Happy Birthday to my cohort on this blog, my bestest online friend, and rain-girl RINA!! I made you a present, hon :-) these pics aren't mine, I'm just borrowing for the pleasure of the bday girl ;)

Are we worrying ourselves fat? -- rather interesting story. Makes me feel fat just reading it <.g.> No, I'm *supposed* to be doing lotsa situps so fitting in my wedding dress will happen easier, but its so easy to slide into the mode of being too stressed to exercise. And eating that fatty hamburger for lunch for SURE didn't help <.giggle.> Oh well, tomorrows another day :-)

<.thoughts.> So many people amongst me do frequent redesigns. I don't think that I'm so good at my own redesigns. Now let me at Rina's page and i could redo it and make it all trifty (its a lisa-word LOL), but my own page? I make subtle changes here and there, mess with the sidebar here, do additions and stuff, but a full redesign isn't in the stars for this moment <.giggle.> I do have ambitions to change the header on all my main pages though. But keeping my colors. They are calming and happy to me :-) <./thoughts.>

Okay, I bet I'll be one of the first to change my bookmarks - Jenn at -=malapropism=- moved again!! *waving hi to her from over here* I love reading her page, so I'll change the URL on my sidebar as many times as it takes LOL! :-)

Buffy Post - Christie (poor girl, juicy juice is a killer on your toes!) and me had the same feelings. What will happen to Riley? And Rina would agree about Angel not being the same since they killed off Doyle :-> So then, I was looking for other blogs that mentioned buffy, and found this: BuffyLog!!! Definately a weekly reading blog!!! Anyhow, the To Be Continued.... drives me crazy. I wanna know now, dammit!! A few buffy links - Willow/Tara Story and then an overall good link: BuffyGuide Check 'em out! (Rina and I know ALL the best buffy sites, buffy pics, and buffy storys/storylists.... just ask us if you want more!)

Kristin has a new design up at bite this :-) Its very bright and colorful - the black and pixelated background works very nicely with the brightly colored push pins, squares, and clocks :-) I like!!! :-)

Another blog to read :-) unashamed :: weblog Kama found me, and linked to me, and she has a great blog, so I'm linking to her - welcome to the romantics, and YEA to tuesday night buffy fans!!! :->

The new is in: Hayden Christensen (Who?) Does Darth - E!Online News - MSN For those of you who have followed the Star Wars Saga, this has been the big question - there were so many actors being considered for the next movie (including Jonathan Jackson, formerly of General Hospital, formerly from my school ) Coincidentaly enough, Hayden and Jonathan were both in Trapped in a Purple Haze just a few weeks ago. I haven't watched it, its in my pile of To-be-watched videos with several eps of Angel, the Roswell from last night, and the Tae Bo video that I could really use to loose a few pounds LOL! Anyhow, just thought I'd pass this news along!

Hugs to Christie - Your accident this weekend sounds scary, and I'm glad that you made it out okay - your Angels musta been watching out for you :-) And congrads for making it through the weekend with the bitchy M-I-L

Poor Gina - I feel so bad that your school districts have changed. I don't have kids yet, but I know that when I do, I'm gonna want them in the better schools (we are between Camas and Washougal, and well, W schools suck ) I hope there is someway you can fight the decision. {{{hugs}}}

Packing sucks. Chihuahuas are adorable. Sugar is my friend. Did I mention that packing sucks? 'Cause it does. Muchly. That's all I have to say.

Sunday, May 07, 2000

Okay, I spent time reading this AM and I'm sending feedbacks to my favorite Blogettes - * sending {{{{hugs}}}} to Ceciily because Blogger was causing her problems! * Kellea did a redesign - its pretty, but I really liked the last one - just my opinion of course!!! * big hugs to Kandee who found a new home :-) What an exciting thing!!! * I like you, Jenn, no need to eat worms {{hugs :-) }} Thanks for all the joy you wonderful ladies bring me on a daily basis :-) And a big *hi* to the other blogs I enjoyed this weekend :-)

Friday, May 05, 2000

I agree with Kristin - people should make their blogs open in new windows :-) It means I can get like 7 windows loading at once and then be reading one while others are working on loading and then click more, and the vicious cycle goes round and round LOL! I'm silly :-)

So Christie at joyride and us HR girls have the same tastes in men - tuesday night men LOL! Another great blog that I will have to adding to the sidebar :-)

Thursday, May 04, 2000

I wrote a magnet poem. . . .Ode to Rina. Okay, if it doesn't make sense, forgive me. I had fun, and its fun to write a poem for my best friend - she *knows* I don't make sense LOL!

From the sensual section of The Knot, check out The Knot: Special Features: PuertaBella.Com. Gives you info on making your home romantic :-) Looks nice! Now I just need a real HOUSE to make romantic instead of a little apartment :->

My WuName is is Monolithic Fishmonger-X. LOLOL I think I like Krissy's better, but at least mine has the cute X-Files reference. : )

YAY!!!!!! You know how when you scroll down to my desires, it says "end of rain"? Well, it's ended! All of my papers have been handed in, I have attened my last class as a freshman, and now I only have to take a biology final and write 4 English essays. Hmmmm. That still sounds like a lot of work, doesn't it? Well, no matter. I'll be home in a week!! Speaking of what else I'll be doing in a week, did anyone else watch Buffy this week? I'm loving Willow and Tara! I found a way cool list for them, too! Can't wait for next week. : ) And what about Dawson's Creek?? My little sister Danielle and I watched together, and we were totally crying at the end. We love Pacey and Joey. I might even venture to say it's one of the few things we have in common. LOL After Dawson, I had to turn on the series finale of Party of Five. And, of course, promptly cried some more. *g* I haven't watched in years, excepting a few brief episodes when Julia and Griffen were married, but I had to watch the finale, and it did NOT disappoint. Although I always though Kirsten couldn't have kids. And when did Julia and Justin get back together?! E-mail me if you can answer these questions and send me any good fic sites for Julia and Griffen or Justin. LOL

Okay, so I'm surfing blogs instead of working as hard as I should be. But I keep finding these great ones like c a t h a r s i s and dreaming reality. So tonight after work, I must add them to my sidebar because they are all splendid!!!

My WuName is Excitable Misunderstood Genius {vbg} That sounds cool :-) I found the link via Gina at Recycled Thoughts She linked to me! And its a cool page, very nice one to put in my sidebar when I have time later :-)

Its always cool to find more Hopeless Romantics in the world - go and see Jenn, she's in the sidebar too :-)

I agree with Anna - moving sucks. I had to move waaaaaay too many times back and forth to college, and I know that someday in the near future, we are going to move into our very own house. I've got so much crap that it will be a big pain in the butt, not to mention all the furniture that we can't lift {giggle}. But having my own home to decorate and love sure sounds nice :-)

Tuesday, May 02, 2000

I have added a few blogs to the sidebar :-) We also added a link to support the digital divas in their fight against Microsoft. I have come to love many of the diva pages and think it is a great group, and to have a huge company stomping on them is NOT right. Check out their info at Diva and Golith.
